i have an original painting with the name Ida Bennett on it. It is a still life of blueberries. I wonder if it is this same Ida Bennett who painted it? If so, is it worth something?

Angela,

Yes, it might be the same Ida Bennett. She was known to do some painting, and I always wondered if any of her paintings were still around. I suspected they might be found, especially in the area of Michigan where she lived, but who knows? They could be anywhere now. As for value, I would have no idea!

another fascinating post! These women intrigue me. So prescient “..Just what goes into the composition of the food we eat is becoming more and more a matter of inquiry by the consumer.” 1908!!
