A few comments -

- "The Gloxinian" is almost as hard to pronounce as "The Azalean"

- How envious I am of her skilled carpenter husband! I dream of built-in shelves for my gardening books and gorgeous raised planters for my veggies plot

- The daylily name should be in single quotes

How about writing about Marion Cran? I have read most of her books after I discovered the collection of her writings at the library of the Horticultural Society in New York. The Garden Of Ignorance is a classic.

Happy Holidays

I would like to suggest Maria Cinque as a garden writer/expert from LI NY as someone you should consider for an article. She did alot for our nursery industry on LI ,had a radio program, and wrote a book about Best Garden Plants of New York with Alison Beck. She was also mentored by Bea Jones whom you have already written about.

I feel like I have her growing under lights book. Or have had it. I'll check at the office on Friday. Merry Christmas, Carol!

Another noteworthy garden writer/designer to consider is Charlotte M. Frieze
